What is tallow, and why use it on skin?
Tallow is rendered beef fat. Grass-fed tallow is rich in fatty acids that are similar to the oils your skin makes naturally, which is why it feels nourishing without leaving a greasy film.
Will I smell like beef?
No. We render our tallow to cosmetic grade with multiple purification passes to remove odor and color. Our unscented options have a mild, clean scent, and our scented blends smell like their botanicals.
Where does your tallow come from?
We use grass-fed, grass-finished beef suet sourced locally in Southern Oregon. Every batch is rendered, whipped, and packed by hand in Jacksonville, Oregon.
How do I use it?
Start with a pea-sized amount, warm it between your fingertips, and press it into slightly damp skin. A little goes a long way.
Why did the texture change?
Tallow responds to temperature. It firms up when cool and softens when warm. This is normal and doesn't affect quality.
How long does it last?
Whipped tallow keeps 6 to 12 months, depending on the product. Store it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
Is it okay for sensitive skin?
Many of our customers have sensitive skin. If you react to fragrance, try our Unscented Whipped Tallow. As with any new skincare, patch test first.

How long does shipping take?
Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days, and most customers receive their order in 3 to 4 business days. Free standard shipping on orders over $60. Tallow softens in heat, so in warmer months we recommend Priority shipping.
Can I return a product?
Because our products are handcrafted skincare, all sales are final for health and safety reasons. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email us at talloweskincare@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo and your order number, and we'll make it right.
